Title: Stress in the University-to-Work Transition: A Structural Equation Model of Psychological Resilience and Career Adaptability
This study examined the relationship between psychological resilience and career adaptability among graduating students, with self-efficacy considered as a mediating mechanism within a stress-adaptation framework. Using survey data from 500 participants, structural equation modelling was conducted in R to test the hypothesized relationships. Results indicated that resilience significantly predicted both self-efficacy and career adaptability, while self-efficacy partially mediated this association. The findings suggest that resilience functions as a psychological coping resource facilitating adaptive career adjustment during the university-to-work transition. Implications for stress-informed career guidance and resilience-building interventions in higher education are discussed.
