An article is addressed that deals with multidisciplinary approaches in the teaching of mathematics, with a particular focus on the importance of teachers in training at the Popular University of Cesar. The general objective of the article is to promote integrative, contextualized and evidence-based pedagogical practices that allow linking mathematical concepts with learning processes in various disciplines, including language. The methodology used includes a qualitative analysis of the pedagogical strategies used by future teachers. The most important finding found is that the integration of different disciplines in the teaching of mathematics enhances meaningful learning and improves students' understanding of mathematical concepts.
