ABSTRACT

Medication plays a vital role in relieving pain, treating diseases, and improving the quality of human life. However, the excessive or careless use of medication can lead to serious physical and emotional consequences. In many situations, people rely on medicines for quick relief without fully understanding their long-term effects on the body and mind. Overuse of medication can gradually disturb the body's natural balance, affecting organs such as the liver, kidneys, and nervous system. At the same time, it may influence brain chemistry, leading to mood swings, emotional instability, fatigue, anxiety, or a sense of dependency. Beyond physical symptoms, excessive medication can also alter a person's emotional well-being. Individuals may experience irritability, numbness of feelings, or reduced motivation, which can affect their relationships, work performance, and overall outlook on life. In some cases, the body becomes dependent on certain medicines, making it difficult to function normally without them. This situation creates a cycle where medication intended for healing begins to weaken the body's natural resilience. Therefore, it is important to approach medication with awareness, medical guidance, and balance. Responsible use of medicines, along with healthy lifestyle practices, can protect both physical health and emotional stability. Understanding the consequences of excessive medication encourages individuals to make informed decisions and maintain a more holistic approach to well-being.
